Exam Rescheduling Policy
This policy explains when and how a candidate can reschedule an exam after completing enrollment. Candidates are advised to review the following terms carefully before rescheduling the exam.
1. What is Exam Rescheduling?
Rescheduling means changing the existing exam schedule or saved scheduling preference for the same enrollment. This may include selecting:
- A different exam date
- A different time slot
- A different scheduling preference option
Rescheduling does not create a new enrollment. It only updates the candidate’s existing exam schedule or scheduling preferences
2. When Rescheduling is Allowed
A candidate can reschedule an exam only when all the following conditions are met:
2.1 Enrollment Status
The candidate’s enrollment must be at a schedulable stage, meaning:
- The exam is already scheduled, or
- The exam is ready to be scheduled, meaning the candidate has already selected the scheduling preferences.
If the enrollment is not in a schedulable stage, rescheduling will not be available.
2.2 72-Hour Restriction
If the exam date and time are already confirmed, the candidate cannot reschedule the exam within 72 hours of the scheduled exam time.
2.3 Platform Restrictions
Post scheduling, a one-time free reschedule may be available if requested at least 72 hours prior. Manage all actions via your Pearson account after confirmation.
3. No-Show Rescheduling (Missed Exam)
In certain cases, candidates who miss their exam will be allowed to reschedule.
No-show rescheduling is available only if all the following conditions are met:
- The candidate is a public (self-paid), corporate voucher-based, or corporate code-based.
- The exam platform is remote proctored for all types of candidates.
- The candidate requests rescheduling within 30 days from the date the result for the missed exam is declared or published · For corporate code (remote-based) candidates, rescheduling is possible only if another eligible exam date is available in the same city and center of the selected company/organization.
If any of the above conditions are not met, no-show rescheduling will not be permitted.
4. Corporate Enrollments
Corporate enrollments follow different scheduling rules depending on how the candidate was enrolled.
4.1 Corporate (Voucher-Based Enrollment)
If the candidate’s exam enrollment was completed using a corporate voucher, the standard rescheduling rules apply, including:
- The 72-hour restriction
- Platform restrictions
4.2 Corporate (Company Code / Company Scheduling)
For enrollments created using company code or company-managed scheduling:
- Rescheduling is not available through the candidate portal.
- Rescheduling will be handled by the candidate’s organization/company or by the support/admin team.
Candidates should contact their organization coordinator or support team for assistance.
5. Rescheduling Fees and Payments
When a candidate requests a reschedule, the system automatically calculates the total payable amount, if applicable.
The payable amount may include:
- A rescheduling fee (the fee is waived for the first reschedule)
- In case of no-show, rescheduling fees will be applicable.
- If the certification price has increased, the difference amount will be charged
- Any difference in exam fees between the candidate’s current exam platform and the newly selected exam platform.
- Applicable taxes
If the final amount is ₹0, the candidate can complete the rescheduling without making any payment. The candidate will still be redirected to the payment page, but no payment will be required if the payable amount is ₹0.
If the amount is greater than ₹0, payment must be completed to confirm the reschedule.
6. After Successful Rescheduling
Once the reschedule request is successfully processed:
- The candidate’s previous exam schedule will be cleared
Depending on the candidate type:
- Public candidates and corporate voucher-based candidates will need to select their scheduling preferences.
- Corporate code remote-based candidates will be able to select and confirm the updated exam schedule (in case of No-Show enrollment status)
Candidates should carefully review and confirm the new details.
