The International requirements engineering Board (IREB e.V.) is committed to the task of professionalizing requirements engineering.

IREB e.V. offers a complete approach for achieving and verifying this professionalism in requirements engineering.

This approach involves four processes:
  • Defining syllabi in qualification levels that build successively upon each other,
  • Devising exams for earning the certificate
  • Cooperation with certification authority to carry out certification exam in participating countries
  • Acceptance of training providers that carry out training compliant to syllabi of IREB
