The Certification Model |
The “Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)” model offers two qualification levels. |
The goals of the Foundation Level (CPRE-FL) are to convey the motivation for requirements engineering, to define the terms involved, to convey and present its activities, and to show how it differs from other disciplines. The Foundation Level addresses a common understanding for Requirements Engineering independent of a industrial domain or development process. The Advanced Level (CPRE-AL) specializes in a module based approach. Each module addresses on a specific issue, activity, domain or process. The number of Advanced Level Modules is not restricted. The content depends on the demand of economy and industry for specific knowledge in Requirements Engineering. The CPRE-AL certificate is conferred as “Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering Advanced Level in [Module Name]“. |

The Foundation Level Certificate is prerequisite to acquire the Advanced Level Certificate. |
